Important Round-off Purchase in Basel


As of 1 April 2016 Swiss Finance & Property Investment AG bought the property Schwarzwaldallee 175-179 / Rosentalstrasse 70 in the city of Basel.



This striking property has a lettable area of around 5'000m² which currently divided between the Hotel Ryago and the Foundation Casa Vita. Casa Vita Foundation's lease of 2'600m2runs out on 31 May 2016. Even before the certification this area could be rented to a public organization of the city of Basel, subject to the transfer of ownership. With the takeover the long-term lease is now legally binding, starting 1 June 2016. The existing interior design is consistent with the needs of the

new tenant, so no conversion is necessary.


After buying Riehenstrasse 157 / Rosenthalstrasse 50/52 in Basel in 2015 this transaction represents another important milestone in the rounding strategy around the Badische Bahnhof. The excellent location of the property, only a minute's walk from the railway station, offers great potential for possible future cross-object investment.
