Tatneft' imeni V D Shashina : TATNEFT Continues Rendering Services in Turkmenistan

Professionals of TATNEFT Company continue implementation of the contract for the provision of services to enhance oil recovery in Southeastern oilfield No. 4 of NGDU "Goturdepenebit" (Turkmenistan).
New equipment and technologies well-behaved in the oil fields of Tatarstan are actively applied as part of its implementation. The oil-bearing deposits at Goturdepe oil field have a complex tectonic structure with the presence of geological faults. In addition, crude oil production in this area is complicated by the high GOR, paraffin deposition in the tubing string, formation of sand plugs, corrosion aggressiveness of produced crude products, nonstandard well structures and various complications in the operation of the downhole equipment. TATNEFT Company possesses necessary equipment, expertise and a wide range of different technologies to meet the abovementioned challenges.
Since the beginning of the contract implementation two workover crews have performed 63 workover operations in 40 wells and completed installation of downhole pumping equipment in 32 wells. Over 106 thousand tonnes of additional crude oil were produced (as of July 23, 2015) as a result of the activities implemented.
The plans provide for expansion of the project on the contract area and increasing the number of the wells to be repaired. The parties have began considering the documents required to expand the project.

The relationship between the PJSC TATNEFT and "Turkmenoil" State Company are developing in the framework of cooperation envisaged by the corresponding agreement between the Republic of Tatarstan and Turkmenistan of June 28, 2008 and the Protocol on Cooperation Development in the oil and gas area signed by PJSC TATNEFT and the State Concern "Turkmenneft" in July 2008.
In February 2011, PJSC TATNEFT received the official document of the Company's Branch registration in Turkmenistan: Certificate (SAHADATNAMA) issued by the Ministry of Economy and Industrial Development of the Republic of Turkmenistan.
