TATNEFT Company took part in the second National Oil and Gas Forum.
More than 1,200 oil and gas industry experts from all over Russia, foreign guests, numerous representatives of public and media got together in the congress hall of the World Trade Center at Krasnopresnenskaya Embankment Moscow. TATNEFT was an official partner of the National Oil and Gas Forum.
National Oil and Gas Forum was the first federal scale event in the modern history of Russia organized by the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation in conjunction with the leading entrepreneurial and industrial associations: the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP), Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia (RF CCI), Union of Oil and Gas Producers of Russia and the Russian Gas Society.
This event became a key industry event of the year, which in many respects determined the strategy of decision taking in today's economic realities. Yuri Shafranik, Chairman of the RF CCI Committee on Energy Strategy and Development of the Fuel and Energy Complex, and Gennady Schmal, Deputy Chairman of the Committee were among the speakers at the forum.
One of the most important issues discussed on the sidelines of the forum was preparing a new formulation of the Energy Strategy of Russia for the next forecast period. The participants discussed long-term goals and objectives facing the Oil and Gas Sector, issues related to the development of the energy sector market infrastructure, innovations and energy efficiency in the industry, as well as fiscal policy. The topics discussed covered creation of a competitive market environment, improvement the forecasting of world hydrocarbon prices, international cooperation, foreign trade policy, improving the efficiency of raw materials processing, exchange trade of energy resources and establishment of clear indicators at the domestic market of oil and petroleum products, environmental regulations/standards and industrial safety in the energy sector, oil related services and petroleum engineering.
As immediate measures demanded by the Russian energy sector, the oil and gas forum the named modernization and tax incentives involving essential changes in the tax law. A special plenary session, "The current economic and fiscal policies of the national oil and gas industry: looking for a compromise between the fiscal and incentive function" was devoted to this issue.
Particular attention was paid to discussing the long-term goals and objectives of the national oil and gas industry, encouraging modernization and innovative development of the energy sector main segments.
A special focus exposition "Modern technologies and innovations in the Oil and Gas Complex of Russia and the CIS countries" was arranged within the Forum frame, which allowed the event participants and guests getting acquainted with advanced and innovative industry-specific solutions.
TATNEFT Company presented vivid and expressive display stands on the history of domestic oil and gas industry and its achievements: "History of Russian oil from its cradle to innovations". The Company's exposition demonstrated the Tatarstan oil history since 1637. There were the exhibits of the Joint Stock Company's Museum in Almetyevsk presented at the display. On the ground in front of the stand actors acted out episodes of hard war years, when commercial oil field was discovered near the village of Novo-Shugurovo in 1943. Participants of the forum oil and gas forum highly appraised the exposition of TATNEFT.
