The Company summed up the results of the TATNEFT announced contest of the research papers of the students and postgraduates of the leading petroleum universities of the Russian Federation.

The contest had been organized for the first time with the objective of mobilizing the creative potential of the students and postgraduates of higher educational institutions in the solution of technical, technological and economic challenges in the oil production area.

Danil Kobylinsky (student of the Tyumen Industrial University) topped in the Section 'Geology and Development of Oil and Gas Fields' with the paper: 'Development of the isotope logging method to identify productive formations and assess their properties'; Polina Kupchihina (Student of the Russian State Oil and Gas University named after I.M. Gubkin) was second in this category with the paper 'Influence of the rock mass stress condition on the hydraulic conductivity of natural fractures'; the third place was awarded to Vadim Sayakhov (post-graduate student of the Almetyevsk State Petroleum Institute) for the paper: 'Operational effectiveness analysis of producing wells equipped with ESP, selection ESP equipment with application of the IHS 'SubPUMP' software complex and recommendations development on the use of technologies for prevention and elimination of organic and inorganic sediments in the Romashkinskoye oil field conditions'.

Section 'Drilling': the second place was awarded to Milyausha Khaybrahmanova (student of the Almetyevsk State Petroleum Institute) for the paper: 'Improving the injection efficiency when using saline water in the conditions of TSPPD-1 of NGDU 'Elkhovneft'; third place was awarded to Sergei Borozdin (Russian State Oil and Gas University named after I.M. Gubkin) for the paper: 'Determining the reservoir sensitivity to physical and chemical processes when the invasion zone is formed'.

Section 'Oil Production': the first place was given to Temir Dolov and Yuri Dubinov (students of the Russian State Oil and Gas University named after I.M. Gubkin) for the paper 'Study of the valve assembly operation of rod pumping units'. The second place - Artem Petrov and Ilnaz Rakipov (students of the Kazan (Volga) Federal University) for the paper 'In situ thermo-catalytic pyrolysis of heavy oil'; third place - Karina Latypova and Lenar Shaydullin (students of the Almetyevsk State Petroleum Institute) for the paper: 'Method development to predict formation of organic deposits on the surface of the downhole equipment'.

Section 'Energy': the 3rd place was awarded to Vladimir Kopyrin (student of the Tyumen Industrial University) for the paper: 'Development and research of the ESP installation with a high power factor.'

Section 'Processing of Oil and Gas, Petrochemicals': the1st place was awarded to Aliya Khusnuriyalova (student of the Kazan (Volga) Federal University) for the paper 'New nano-particles based organometallic catalysts for petrochemistry'; the third place - Gulnaz Zinnatullina (student of the Ufa State Petroleum Technical University) for the paper: 'Development of bifunctional additives for diesel fuels'.

Section 'Economy': the first place was awarded to Aigul Garipova (student of the Almetyevsk State Petroleum Institute) for the paper: 'Development of algorithm for estimating the cost-effectiveness and taking administrative decisions on the projects of oil and gas industry based on the industry-specific risks and oil prices', the second was Maria Frolova (student of the Almetyevsk State Petroleum Institute) for the paper: 'Improving the drilling investment portfolio effectiveness'; the second place was also awarded to Nelya Melibayeva (student of the Almetyevsk State Petroleum Institute) for the paper: 'Methods of determining the number of well workover crews'.

Presentation of the best scientific papers was held in the framework of the annual traditional summit of the republican oil companies' leadership with participation of Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan. The contest winners received cash prizes.

The plans provide for the contest to be held annually with the aim of enhancing the creative activities of students and identifying the best engineering developments for their introduction into production operations.
