The decree of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan No. UP-1014 of November 16, 2017 awarded the Tatarstan State Prize in Science and Technology to a group of managers and professionals of PJSC TATNEFT.

Titles of the 'Laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Tatarstan in the field of science and technology' and the State Prize of the Republic of Tatarstan in the field of science and technology for the work 'Development and commercial introduction of a suite of technologies for increasing crude oil extraction and depletion rates in the deposits of the Republic of Tatarstan' were awarded to:

Azat Zaripov (First Deputy Director of TatNIPIneft; Anton Beregovoy (Chief of the Oil Recovery Department of TatNIPIneft; Zilfira Ganeyeva (Senior Researcher of the Flood Control Technology Laboratory of TatNIPIneft; Vladlen Podavalov (Chief Geologist of NGDU Bavlyneft); Shaura Rakhimova, Senior Researcher of the Laboratory for Oil Recovery Enhancement of Flooded Layers, TatNIPIneft; Azat Khabibrakhmanov (Head of NGDU 'Elkhovneft'); Marat Khisametdinov (Head of Technological Laboratory for Regulation of Reservoir Water Flooding, TatNIPIneft; Amur Yartiyev (Head of the Economy Sector of Oil Field Development and Production Department of TatNIPIneft).

Suites of technologies presented in the work are aimed at maintaining a stable level of oil production, increasing the field's crude oil production and depletion rates of hydrocarbon raw materials, which are extensively applied on the fields of TATNEFT and other companies.

The Company's professionals had developed and implemented technical and technological solutions (having a world novelty) based on the application of steam injection technology using horizontal drilling technologies, solvents and thermogel compositions, which made it possible to efficiently develop high-viscosity oil reserves (more than 1.0 million tons had been produced).

The developed by the authors and commercially implemented suite of technologies for enhancing crude oil recovery allowed to produce an additional amount 6.7 million tonnes of crude oil from traditional reservoirs by carrying out about 4,000 well stimulation operations.

The net discounted income from commercial sales amounted to more than RUB 32 billion, while payments to the budget and non-budgetary funds amounted to more than RUB 62 billion (RUB 5.5 billion in the Republic of Tatarstan), and the multiplicative effect (taking into account the effect of related industries) exceeded RUB 135 billion with 284 jobs created in the core and service enterprises. Results of the work had been published in 120 scientific papers, including 2 monographs, 76 articles in leading scientific and technical journals and collections and 42 Russian Federation patents for inventions had been received.

Innovative technologies and technical solutions are available for application in fields of other Russia regions.
