Our South East team has provided a cash boost for the 25 Tenterden Folk Festival by donating £500 towards the annual event.

We will be the main sponsor for the English Barn Dance, featuring Jezreels Ceilidh Band, taking place from 7.30pm on Friday 6 October in the Moulton Hall and Evans Bar of the Tenterden Club, in Church Road.

The four-day festival - running from Thursday 5 to Sunday 8 October - will host a variety of events showcasing traditional English folk music as well as examples of the genre from around the world.

Alan Castle, Director and Trustee of Tenterden Folk Festival, says: 'I'd like to say a big thank you to Taylor Wimpey for this generous donation to the Tenterden Folk Festival.

'It's thanks to support from organisations like Taylor Wimpey that local events such as ours can continue bringing together the diverse community of Tenterden. We try to keep the festival's events free or keep charges as low as possible so people in all circumstances can enjoy folk music.

'We are passionate about showcasing the history of English folk music and we're also very proud to have individual performances this year by members of the local Nepalese community playing their own traditional folk music, as well as Eastern European dancers performing classic Slovakian dances.'

Jason Stokes, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey South East, says: 'We pride ourselves on further enriching the communities we build in, so it is a real privilege to be able to donate this money to an organisation like Tenterden Folk Festival.

'We wish everyone organising the festival the very best of luck for a successful event and hope all attending have a fantastic time.'

Our Three Fields development in Tenterden will be launching in September.
