Over 360 of our employees from across the country have tackled a series of gruelling hiking and biking challenges at Snowdonia National Park. A total of 65 teams completed one of four routes of different levels through the mountains between Thursday 10th and Sunday 13th May as part of the annual Taylor Wimpey Challenge event.

2018 is the fifth year that we have supported the Youth Adventure Trust and this year's challenge raised £167,575 for charity. As well as raising funds for the Youth Adventure Trust, each team - who had a minimum fundraising target of £2,000 - also had the choice to donate some of the proceedings to a local charity of their choice.

Pete Redfern, Chief Executive of Taylor Wimpey, was one of the participants of this year's challenge and says: 'I am very proud of the dedication and commitment shown by so many of the TW team who completed one of the toughest Taylor Wimpey Challenges to date. It really is a huge achievement. Everyone is delighted with the fundraising total, which we hope will make a real difference to both the Youth Adventure Trust and many other local charities supported by our business units. I am already looking forward to seeing what we can achieve at next year's challenge.'

Mark Davey, CEOat the Youth Adventure Trust, said: 'We are hugely grateful for the support of the Taylor Wimpey employees who took on another challenge event in support of the Youth Adventure Trust and other local charities. The fantastic amount of money they have raised will make a real difference to many lives around the UK. The total donated by Taylor Wimpey to the Youth Adventure Trust and other local charities since 2013 now stands at over £750,000 and we would like to say a big thank you for the ongoing support.'
