Makeover for Earlestown Athletic Juniors FC

Date: Tuesday 03 March 2015

Earlestown Athletic Junior Football Club in Newton-le-Willows has received a £2,000 cash injection from us, which will not only provide kits for its coaches but some much-needed improvements to the new grounds too.

The donation will be put towards the club's concrete block storage unit, toilets and kitchen at the new ground on Harrison Way - which neighbours our Bishops Gate development on Crow Lane East - in addition to brand-new tracksuits for all 30 coaches.

Alan Syddal, Chairman of Earlestown Athletic JFC, comments: "We are incredibly grateful for Taylor Wimpey's generosity and support. We desperately want these new facilities to be completed to an extremely high-standard for the whole community to enjoy and £2,000 will go a long way.

"The new tracksuits for our coaches will also help to establish us as a club - so this cash boost has also served as a confidence boost."

Sue Irving, Sales Manager for Taylor Wimpey North West, explains: "As the club is our new neighbour, we have no doubt that a number of our new residents will be making full use of the facilities, so we were more than happy to offer our support.

"The plans look amazing and we hope this marks the start of a long and successful partnership with Earlestown Athletic JFC."

Around 200 local children currently play at the club, with the new ground set to open in September 2016.

Alan concludes: "I would like to take this opportunity to thank Taylor Wimpey for their generosity on behalf of the whole club."

Bishops Gate currently offers a variety of two and three-bedroom homes for sale.
