Tiverton Town FC strikes sponsorship deal

Date: Wednesday 26 August 2015

Ambitious Tiverton Town FC in Devon is building for success in the 2015/16 season - with a helping hand from our team at Taylor Wimpey Exeter.

We donated £1,000 to the club - which is based just a short distance from our Rackenford Meadow development in Tiverton - which means our name will feature on signs at the The Yellows' Ladysmead home, and in the club's programme.

Tiverton Town's chairman Peter Buxton says: "Taylor Wimpey approached us to ask if they could help sponsor the club. Their new development is only half a mile or so from our ground. The sponsorship is very welcome, and we hope it's the start of a good relationship."

Clare Brimble, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Exeter, says: "We're building new homes in Tiverton, and as a company we're dedicated to supporting the communities where we build.

"We were only too pleased to support such an historic football club, and wish them every success for the new season."

Tiverton Town FC has a history dating back to 1913, and currently runs half a dozen teams from its Ladysmead base, which can hold more than 2,500 people.

Last season the club, playing in the Evo-Stik League Southern Division One South and West, finished in the bottom half of the table.

"This season we're looking upwards," said Peter, who has been associated with the club for more than 20 years. "It would be great to be pushing for promotion."

Rackenford Meadow currently offers a choice of three, four and six-bedroom properties.
