Taylor Wimpey : Berkhamsted Lions Summer Fete receives cash boost

Berkhamsted Lions Club has received a cash boost from our team at Taylor Wimpey North Thames to help support its summer fete fundraiser!

With our Bearroc Park development in the town, we are one of a number of local businesses that has provided sponsorship to the club's summer fete, which takes place on Bank Holiday Monday 29th August.

The event will be raising funds for a number of local charities including Age Decorum UK, Swan Youth Centre and Berkhamsted Under 5's Group.

Berkhamsted Lions Club Member, Emma Pearce, helping to organise the event, says: 'The fete has been running for over 20 years and receives sponsorship from many local businesses to help cover the overhead costs. It's brilliant to have Taylor Wimpey and our other supporters the Kings Arms, Tring Brewery, Castles Estate Agents, Clarke & Marshall and Smashing Windows, on board and supporting the local area.'

The Berkhamsted Lions Summer Fete is set to be a fun-filled day for all the family with a selection of stalls, real ales from the local Tring Brewery and a dog show. We will have a stand on the day, offering a very exciting 'garden on a roll' demonstration - which will show guests how to easily plant beautiful borders for their garden.

'It makes a big difference having local companies supporting us as it means that we can give more back to the charities that we support,' adds Emma.
