In line with its promise of 'Life Made Easier', Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) through TM Sabah brings high speed broadband experience to the local communities in Tawau when the Company brought its 'Mega Sales Carnival - Life and Business Made Easier' roadshow series there.

The carnival which takes place on 12 and 13 December 2015 at the compound of Majlis Perbandaran Tawau building is aimed at increasing public awareness on the availability of high speed broadband service offering in the area. TM also set up an experiential booth to enable members of the public to get hands-on experience of the service and how TM can make their lives easier with the high speed connectivity.

The carnival was officiated by YB Datuk Mary Yap Kain Ching, Deputy Minister of Higher Education who is also the MP of Tawau. Also present at the opening ceremony were Datuk Ismail Mayakob, President of Majlis Perbandaran Tawau, Sukkuriya Masri, State General Manager, TM Sabah and Mohammed Yusman Ammeran, General Manager, Sales Development, Consumer & SME, TM.

Speaking at the event, Sukkuriya said, 'We are excited to bring this carnival to the local communities of Tawau as this is the best opportunity for them to experience the high speed broadband connectivity offered by TM. It also focuses on benefits that the community members can enjoy from TM's products and services and how these offerings can enrich their daily lives, true to our promise of 'Life Made Easier' and 'Business Made Easier'. Besides that, I am very pleased to announce that our UniFi offerings with speeds of up to 30Mbps will be made available in Tawau area by early 2016. So Tawau residents, more exciting things are coming your way!'

It is also one of the Government's aspirations to ensure Malaysians of all walks of life can enjoy access to information to elevate Malaysia into a knowledge-based nation. In addition, in line with Vision 2020, we really hope ICT will usher Sabah into becoming a fully-developed state by that time.'

Besides the experiential booth, there are also counters for product consultations and demonstration as well as showcases of TM's products and latest offerings throughout the 2-day carnival. To liven up the day, various family activities have been lined up for the public to participate including Online Business Forum and Talks, live band and busker performances, Karaoke Competition and device bidding session.
