PT. Telekomunikasi Indonesia, Tbk (Telkom) is set to prioritize its agenda in supporting the creative economy ecosystem based on digital technology. Through the support of Metra Digital Innovation (MDI) that serves as Corporate Venture Capital (CVC) for Telkom Group, Telkom will focus on maintaining the portfolio in Information, Media, and Edutainment in Telkom's group environment.

By utilizing the association built by Telkom Group, through MDI Ventures, Indigo participated the 'Immersion Program' or an intensive training for the best Indigo's startup, namely Kakatu (Parental control apps), AMTISS (Asset tracking management apps) and Goers (Event discovery and management asset). This immersion program will take place from 9 to 16 April 2016 at Silicon Valley, USA.

The program will introduce the best startup founders from Indigo with the renowned startup in Silicon Valley, such as Uber, Facebook, Apple, and Google, as well as venture capital such as KPCB. In the 'Immersion Program,' startups are invited to participate in a more in-depth mentorship with the 'startup founders' that will provide a global insight regarding business.

The representatives sent by the Indigo startups are, Niki Tsuraya Yaumi (COO) and Anselm Kurniawan (CTO) of Goers, and Muhammad Nur Awaludin (CEO) of Kakatu and Ivan Faizal Gautama (CEO) of AMTISS.

The Deputy of EGM Coherence and Innovation Management Digital Service Telkom, Ery Punta added that Telkom is aware that successful innovation is not only determined by the ability to make a product but also to manage talent or creative people as individuals that are capable of producing useful product.

In this visit, Indigo will follow the 'F8 Conference' annual developer event held by Facebook, product management training & growth by Uber, as well as meeting the developer community of Apple and Google, as well as gaining insight related startup funding trend by Kleiner Perkins Caulfield & Byers (KPCB), as one of the leading venture capital in Silicon Valley.

Indigo Creative Nation is an incubation program and Telkom's digital acceleration startup managed together with MDI. The participant of the program will receive six (6) months of incubation support and open access to markets, business, and technical consultants. The main objective of the Indigo program is to build a strong ecosystem of startups in Indonesia. Indigo re-opened registration for the Startup ranging from 1 to 30 April 2016 and can register via the website www.indigo.id
