Tenaris's service centre near Grande Prairie, Alberta, will be open to the public on October 5, 2017, for a first glimpse into the facility following a summer of steady construction. The 80 acres of land located on Highway 43 (24 kilometres from Grande Prairie, Alberta and 2 km from Wembley, Alberta) is operating to serve oil and gas operators in the Montney and Duvernay formations.

The open house is an opportunity for members of the community to meet Tenaris employees while also following up on previous engagement sessions that took place prior to construction.

'Nothing is more important to us than the health and safety of everyone who works for us, uses our products and is impacted by our operations,' said Guillermo Moreno, President of Tenaris in Canada. 'Listening to understand the concerns of our nearby community has influenced our construction plans and aided in creating a safer facility with enhanced environmental management techniques. We've appreciated the input of the community and welcome the opportunity to show them its current progress.'

The service centre is a $20 million multi-year investment to handle the supply of oil country tubular goods, accessories, sucker rods and coiled tubes to support Tenaris's Rig Direct™ strategy.

'We are investing in infrastructure that allows us to change the way we get our products to market,' said Moreno. 'Combining our domestic manufacturing with regional service centres, we are able to strengthen our management of the supply chain and create efficiencies for our customers, saving them time and money.'

Construction at the site will continue into 2018 with the completion of several buildings. When complete, the site will consist of a commercial office, inspection facility, and storage yard and rail spur.

Members of the community are welcome to stop by the Tenaris service centre between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 5, 2017.
