A delegation of three technical representatives from Pan American Energy (PAE) visited Tenaris's mill in Campana, Argentina, on Thursday, January 22. The meeting was organized in the frame of the joint work between both companies to find alternative solutions for corrosive environments in artificial lift.

During the tour, Tenaris representatives explained the company's management and quality control systems. The visit focused on sharing experience regarding the sucker rods' performance in corrosive environments to analyze alternatives to face that challenge; and included a tour to the steel shop and the laboratories, where a series of mechanical properties tests were conducted on samples of Tenaris's sucker rods. The sucker rods technical sales and commercial team accompany the PAE to answer their questions and analyze the results together.

"We showed Pan American Energy that our steel is produced with state-of-the-art technology and under the highest quality standards. We invited them to the laboratories to explain in detail the many tests our products go through before they hit the field," said Pablo Funes, Sucker Rods Technical Sales Engineer.

Tenaris and Pan American Energy will continue working together with a technical agenda that will include both tests and field monitoring.

"The best way to detect and solve problems is to work together paddling in the same direction. We are satisfied with the results of the chemical composition and hardness tests, and I think this could be the beginning of a joint work between PAE and Tenaris in the search of customized solutions for each particular well and reservoir," said Eduardo Dottore, Principal Engineer Technical Assurance, Pan American Energy - Golfo San Jorge.
