Tenaris : ISO certification of Rig Direct™ begins in the US

Tenaris's Freeport Service center and North American headquarters in Houston were recently audited as the first stage of ISO9001:2015 certification of the Rig Direct™ service model.

The International Organization of Standardization (ISO) defines the requirements for a quality management system to help businesses and organizations be more efficient and improve customer satisfaction. The US operations were one of the first in the Tenaris system to participate in the new ISO 9001:2015 certification since the standard was changed last year which added an increased emphasis on leadership, risk based thinking, context of the organization and the needs and expectations of interested parties.

The scope of the audit included the North American headquarters, the Freeport service center and the Port of Houston office, involving the Commercial Front End, Supply Chain, Quality, Human Resources and Administration and Finance departments.

The majority of Tenaris's US facilities will continue to be audited under the new ISO 9001:2015 standard between now and the end of December, followed by the Midland service center.
