June 22, 2016

TenarisUniversity has earned numerous awards and high rankings throughout the first half of 2016. The corporate training university received three major international awards, as well as several regional recognitions.

Most recently, the Association for Training Development, awarded TenarisUniversity with an 'Excellence in Practice' award, recognizing efforts in the company's involvement with MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses).

The MOOCs, housed through the platform edX, bring exclusive educational content to Tenaris employees, as well as provide courses for the general public regarding steel, manufacturing and OCTG products and services. 'MOOCs are the latest trend in online education,' said Ingrid Urman, head of Learning Methodologies at TenarisUniversity. 'These 'micro-learnings' help us to train a large number of employees around the world in short pieces instead of in one larger lesson, which is more efficient and has a greater impact.'

Along with the Excellence in Practice award, TenarisUniversity also received a new, record ranking at #8 in Training Magazine's Top 125, as well as recent recognitions in Argentina, Romania, and Nigeria.

'It's very rewarding to receive these regional honors as well, and shows that TenarisUniversity continues to be committed to bringing innovation in corporate training to our employees around the world,' said Rolando Lange, TenarisUniversity Director.
