As part of its plans to strengthen its Lifestyle Division, Thakral Corporation Ltd (the "Company") has appointed Mr. Torsten Stocker as Chief Operating Officer ("COO") of its Lifestyle Division with effect from January 4, 2016.

Mr. Stocker, formerly a Partner in the Consumer Goods & Retail practice of global management consultancy A.T. Kearney, will take the lead in bringing about change in the Lifestyle Division and make improvement in all aspects of its operations. He will also strengthen the team in enhancing its business presence both online and offline and leverage on new opportunities for growth.

On Mr. Stocker's appointment, Mr. Inderbethal Singh Thakral, Managing Director of the Company's Lifestyle Division said, "We welcome Mr. Stocker as our new COO of the Lifestyle Division. We are confident that we will benefit from his extensive experience and track record in the consumer goods and retail industry.

"The Lifestyle Division is now at an inflection point where we have expanded our portfolio of consumer lifestyle products from electronics to beauty & health. We therefore brought on board a senior person with strong execution capability and extensive experience to strengthen our team and accelerate our growth in our key markets in Asia. Based in Hong Kong and China, Mr. Stocker, with his rich background and expertise in the consumer lifestyle space, will be an asset to our growth strategy."

Prior to A.T. Kearney, Mr. Stocker was a partner in the Consumer Goods and Retail practice of The Monitor Group. He has been based in Asia since 1996.
