Thales, a world leader in the transport domain, has strong credentials in signalling, fare collection, security, telecommunications and  passenger information systems. Thales will be showcasing its most  innovative main line and urban transport solutions and services at  Innotrans exhibition in Berlin (Hall 4.2, Booth 103).

From its array of signalling systems, Thales will be showcasing its ETCS (European Train Control System) solutions. The Group has deployed  these solutions extensively in Europe, where ETCS has become the  standard command-control system for main line rail. ETCS technology  guarantees interoperability across borders and thus facilitates the  creation of intra-European rail corridors. Thales is also deploying ETCS  beyond Europe's borders in countries including India, Morocco, Saudi  Arabia, South Korea and Mexico.

The Group's Communication-Based Train Control solution, Seltrac® CBTC, is an urban signalling system and the world's leading train control  solution for metro. This technology can reduce headways between trains  to 60 seconds with optimal safety and offers fully driverless operations.  In its Green configuration, Seltrac® can ensure up to 15% less energy  consumption.

Another green transport option, trams are playing an ever more important role in creating environmentally sustainable cities. Thales has  a new, fully-integrated offer that provides operators with everything  they need to optimise the management of their light rail networks - and  provide easy journeys for passengers.

The innovative PG600 Gate will be also on the stand. This ticketing gate concept revolutionises the current infrared sensor approach deployed  over the past 15 years by ticketing gates worldwide. The Dream Gate  features a slim-line design, cutting-edge technologies including a 3D  camera and is compatible with all proposed ticket systems including  mobile ticketing, contactless bank cards and NFC devices.
