Thales has been at the forefront of Wireless X-Ray technology since they introduced the first wireless detector in the world in 2008. Ever since, the Pixium product range has been synonymous with high performance and portability and the latest product in the line, the Pixium portable 3543 DR features the most state-of-the-art performance levels of any portable flat panel detectors on the market.

Key Points

  • Thales introduces a brand new Pixium Portable 3543 DR to its range of cassette size portable detectors.
  • It allows more flexibility and workflow management between technicians and diagnosticians with the best image quality at optimized design to cost.
  • Pixium Portable 3543 DR brings digital radiography within reach of any OEM or integrator.
«Pixium is one of our most successful medical imaging product lines. With the Pixium Portable 3543 DR we have truly pushed the boundaries of what is possible to achieve in terms of image quality and reliability in a portable and wifi enabled product. Its cost design parameter makes it so competitive it will be accessible to most OEMs, regardless of budget»

Jean-Jacques Guittard, Thales Vice President, Electron Devices Business

The Pixium portable 3543 DR combines the best technology developed by Trixell, the joint venture between Thales, Siemens and Philips for the development of flat panel detectors. It also optimizes design to cost parameters which helps reduce total cost of ownership thus bringing high-end digital radiography within easy reach of any OEM or integrator regardless of budgetary constraints.

Because its wifi enabled, it has more flexibility and allows technicians to quickly share images with diagnosticians thus streamline hospital operations. It also includes a light weight, X-Ray, auto-detection, Image Storage, Multi-Share with automatic attachment by infra-red. It can also support new communication protocols such as Near Field Communication (NFC), and features two types of scintillators, CsI as well as Gadox, making it suitable for new radiography equipment or retrofit of existing analog systems.
