The Quayside, a Grade-A commercial building jointly developed by Link REIT and Nan Fung Development at 77 Hoi Bun Road, is set to become a new, exciting landmark along the Kowloon East CBD harbourfront.

The stylish, wavy building form architecture, which enjoys magnificent sea views, will move beyond pure office functionality to include alluring amenities that promote personal wellness and experiences. Its 400 parking spaces, all equipped with electric vehicle chargers, will support a green and sustainable environment and make The Quayside the most electric-car friendly building in Hong Kong. When completed in 2019, it will be an iconic addition to the financial artery along Hoi Bun Road which is already taking shape as more multi-national financial institutions are moving into the area.

George Hongchoy, Chief Executive Officer of Link Asset Management Limited, said, 'Office space is not only about workspace, but about life and experiences. A welcoming atmosphere, large floor plates, a podium garden with recreational facilities as well as an inviting promenade nearby are just some of the elements that The Quayside will offer to bring its tenants a vibrant, exciting environment. This will be a place that engages its occupants 24/7, balancing their life, work and play. We are pleased to have already pre leased over 220,000 square feet of office floor area to J.P. Morgan, accounting for about a quarter of the total floor area.'

Donald Choi, Managing Director of Nan Fung Development Limited, said, 'Slated for completion in 2019, this Grade-A office development envisions a welcoming, healthy and sustainable office architecture at the heart of the emerging Kowloon East CBD. As a testament to Nan Fung's and Link's commitment to environmental sustainability, The Quayside has already achieved LEED (Core & Shell) Platinum precertification, a BEAM Plus Provisional Platinum rating and WELL precertification at the Gold level. Additionally, it won the Merit Award in the 'New Buildings: Projects Under Construction and/or Design - Commercial Building' category at the Green Building Award 2016.'

Befitting the property's seaside location with expansive harbour views, the brand name 'The Quayside' connotes the boundless vision of the seafarer and the promise of trade and commerce, highlighting the new development's role as an effective platform where tenants can flourish. The new logo draws on the iconic architecture of The Quayside and features colours reminiscent of the development's nautical name.

The Quayside is the first commercial building in Kowloon East with a dual power supply design. It has 23 storeys with a lettable area of more than 900,000 square feet. The office floors each measures 50,000 square feet, placing The Quayside among the top five offices projects in Hong Kong in terms of size of floor plate. The property has a 3-storey retail podium and three levels of underground car parking. It includes a podium garden of about 23,000 square feet of green space complete with jogging trails and recreational facilities, and provides easy access to the adjacent 1,000-metre-long Kwun Tong Waterfront Promenade with 3.4 hectares of waterfront garden.
