BEVERLY HILLS, CA / ACCESSWIRE / May 9, 2018 / TOMI Environmental Solutions, Inc. ("TOMI") (OTCQX: TOMZ), a global provider of infection prevention and decontamination products, services and research, including SteraMist?, a hydrogen peroxide-based mist and fog registered as Binary Ionization Technology® (BIT?) with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency ("EPA") for use as a hospital-healthcare disinfectant, and general disinfectant, including C. diff, h1n1, norovirus, salmonella and MRSA, announced participation in a Los Angeles based hospital study and the addition of a new sales force in its Hospital-HealthCare Division.

TOMI was invited and is currently participating in a large study which compares hospital manual cleans to a SteraMist? mechanical clean using iHP? disinfecting technology. The study is being conducted at one of the largest hospitals west of the Mississippi River, LAC-USC Medical Center, in addition to two other Los Angeles public hospitals, UCLA Olive View Medical Center, and Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. Study details and progress will be released as obtained from the study's lead investigators.

Initial feedback from staff members and leadership from all three hospitals has been very positive regarding the ease of use, overall efficacy, and the quick turn-around time of patient rooms when using the SteraMist? equipment. As part of this study, TOMI has designed a prototype stainless steel cart, the "EZ-SteraMist? Disinfection Cart." Along with modification of the SteraMist? equipment, and in partnership with MaxAir® PAPR systems, this new cart offers hospital staff the most effective and efficient cleaning method possible. End-users are providing feedback on how the cart expedites the cleaning process and is easy to implement. This all-in-one cart contains necessary disinfection accessory items, such as the MaxAir® PAPR, an air scrubber, hooks for coiling power cords, a cautionary sign to notify when a room is being treated, and space for extra BIT? disinfectant solution.

To further expand efforts in this division, TOMI has recently brought on senior leadership. Bill Flecky and Jeff Hobson will head up national sales efforts, and initiatives will focus on expanding use sites for current SteraMist? hospital clients, developing new clients, and securing even greater penetration in the medical transport industry. Flecky, Director of Hospital-HealthCare, has years of demonstrated success in accelerating revenue growth and sales channel development in the scientific instruments, medical devices, and healthcare IT markets. Hobson, Vice President of Hospital-HealthCare, has over 20 years director level sales experience and a proven track record of generating revenue and developing business leads in the healthcare market specifically. The addition of these seasoned professionals to an already established internal sales force, and manufacturing representatives, is expected to improve client penetration in this division.

Dr. Halden Shane, TOMI CEO, has stated, "This is an exciting opportunity and allows us to showcase our products and demonstrate how versatile the equipment is. We are confident that our technology will have a significant impact on reducing microbial loads in hospitals on surfaces and equipment. Once the study is completed and the results are published, we expect SteraMist? to surpass all other competing technology in its ability to create better outcomes for patients and staff with respect to infectious disease control."
