TUI continues to consistently implement its growth programme in the hotel and cruise segment. The expansion of Riu hotels in Mauritius announced in the summer will now be followed by the further expansion of the Robinson Club portfolio. The Robinson Club Djerba Bahiya will open in May 2015. The opening of the new 336-room resort in the island of Djerba will mark Robinson's return to Tunisia for the first time since 2005. With the new Robinson Club in Djerba, nine Riu hotels and two Magic Life clubs, the TUI Group is the largest provider of high-quality holiday experiences in Tunisia.

The Tunisian Minister of Tourism Amel Karboul welcomes the commitment shown by Robinson Club, which forms part of TUI AG, in Djerba: "Tunisia is a country full of opportunities. Robinson's decision to return to Djerba underlines our country's great potential as a holiday destination. Tourism is a crucial economic factor for Tunisia. We need investments as well as public confidence in our country's policies and national economy in order to drive our successful change swiftly ahead. We will continue to promote standards and quality as well as our infrastructure in order to further strengthen Tunisia as a holiday brand. The decision taken by TUI and Robinson to open a club in Djerba will support us on our path."

Sebastian Ebel, Chief Operating Officer at TUI AG: "With the new Robinson Club in Djerba, we are also forging ahead with the internationalisation of our product. Tunisia is a destination traditionally visited by many French customers. We are hence opening up the Robinson brand for an additional international target group. With the Robinson Club in the Maldives, which is very popular among Asian customers, this step has already been successfully initiated."

Upon the launch of the second phase of the "oneTUI" programme in the spring, Fritz Joussen, CEO of TUI AG, had announced his plan to significantly expand in-house capacity in the hotel and cruise segment and hence also the unique product portfolio for TUI customers. In the framework of the announcements regarding the merger with the British subsidiary TUI Travel, these steps have been given concrete form and expanded. Under the leadership of Sebastian Ebel, TUI AG is planning to expand its hotel portfolio, currently comprising more than 230 hotels and resorts. On top of the expansion of around 30 Riu and Robinson hotels already announced, a further 30 hotels are to be built. Moreover, the Mein Schiff fleet will grow to six modern cruise ships by 2017. The Company also has an option for two additional ships, so that the TUI Cruises fleet might grow to a total of eight cruise vessels in the long term. Including the premium and expedition ships operated by Hapag-Lloyd Kreuzfahrten, TUI AG's cruise ship fleet would thus be expanded to a total of twelve ships. In enhancing the expansion of its capacity, the Group is paving the way in order to achieve further growth in customer numbers and turnover. In addition, the merger of the businesses of TUI AG and TUI Travel will guarantee access to markets and customers.
