Unilever UK participated in its biggest Pride celebration to date on 8th July, with over a hundred employees and their friends and family, together with a selection of some of the nation's favourite brands joining the parade in London.

This year's event was the biggest in Pride's 45 year history with over 300 different groups joining the festivities in central London in support of LGBT+ rights. Unilever employees were out in force with over a hundred employees, plus family and friends, joining the 1.4mile parade and walking alongside our float, which featured some of the company's popular household brands.

Magnum, Cornetto, Lynx and Bed Head by TIGI were involved in this year's festivities as examples of just some of the company's brands which promote diversity and celebrate individuality. Featuring taglines from the brands' campaigns, including Lynx's 'Find your magic' and Cornetto's 'Share the love', the float linked nicely with Pride's overarching 'Love happens here' theme.

Nicky Clement, VP of Human Resources at Unilever said: 'We are proud to be involved in one of the biggest Pride parades in the world and I'm even more proud of the number of employees who went out and celebrated the LGBT+ community. Our strong representation, not only through our people but also our brands, shows our ongoing commitment to creating a more diverse and inclusive culture. It was a brilliant day.'

As one of the world's most culturally diverse companies, Unilever is committed to developing an inclusive culture and recognising the contribution of all employees regardless of gender, age, race, disability, sexual orientation or any other background.
