HAUPPAUGE, NY AND LAS VEGAS, NV - JANUARY 5, 2015 - LVCC, CENTRAL HALL, BOOTH 10417 - VOXX Electronics Corp (VEC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of VOXX InternationalCorp.(NASDAQ: VOXX), today introduced SATSTREAMER, the first SiriusXM-Ready™ Bluetooth integration kit for select 2014-2015 Toyota and Scion vehicles.
SATSTREAMER connects to the latest SiriusXM SXV300 Connect Vehicle Tuner (sold separately, subscription required), giving consumers access to SiriusXM's commercial-free music, plus premier sports talk and live events, comedy, news, exclusive talk and entertainment, and the most comprehensive Latin music, sports and talk programming in radio, all delivered via satellite.
"SATSTREAMER, developed in the US by our Audiovox in-house engineering team and utilizing patent pending streaming integration technology, is the first after-market interface module of its kind that allows consumers to easily listen to SiriusXM via Bluetooth in select 2014-2015 Toyota and Scion vehicles," said Tom Malone, President of VOXX Electronics.
Simplified installation requires only 3 wires - power, ignition and ground connections and the placement of the SiriusXM antenna on the vehicle's roof.
SATSTREAMER uses the latest Bluetooth 1.4 AVRCP and A2DP streaming technology to connect with the vehicle's factory-installed radio. The system will not interfere with other Bluetooth cellular phone connections.
