VOXX INTERNATIONAL CORPORATION HAUPPAUGE, NY - MARCH 16, 2015 -- VOXX Electronics Corp (VEC), announced today the release of new firmware on the FLCAN adding remote start integration on the Jeep, Chrysler, Ram and Fiat vehicles. This new firmware available now is designed exclusively for the 2014-2015 Jeep Cherokee PTS and standard key vehicles, 2015 Chrysler 200, 2014-2015 Ram Promaster, 2011-2014
Fiat 500 and the 2014-2015 Fiat 500L.
"This new firmware update adds to what we believe is the broadest line up of transponder and door
lock interface products in the market today and we continue to increase the number of vehicles that can be upgraded through our FlashLogic program," said Tom Malone, President of VOXX Electronics Corporation. "We continue to remain committed to our dealer partners to help them increase productivity and save on installation. A dealer can simply download the appropriate software making
it applicable to a wide range of vehicles."
These new applications for the FLCAN, will plug directly into any Prestige, Pursuit or Code Alarm remote start equipped with the DBI port or could also be installed in the above mentioned vehicles as a stand-alone remote start, using the vehicle's factory keyless entry transmitter (3X LOCK). VOXX is also offering optional transmitter upgrade packages (sold separately) to give the consumer increased operating range.
"As vehicle technology continues to evolve so does our FlashLogic program. Our engineers are currently field testing new applications that will expand our FLCAN vehicle application compatibility," Malone concluded.
