Kara Williams Promoted to SVP at Webster
WATERBURY, Conn., November 14, 2014 - Webster Bank today announced the promotion of
Kara Williams to senior vice president and director of Internal Audit.
Williams joined Webster in 2012 from PricewaterhouseCoopers, where her last position was senior manager in its Northeast Assurance practice. At Webster, Williams oversees IA's coverage of
several groups including the chief financial officer's group and HSA Bank, but now will also oversee the growing importance of IA's involvement in pre- and post-implementation projects and the annual risk assessment and planning process.
A Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Williams is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Connecticut Society of CPAs. She is based in Cheshire, Conn.
A resident of Middletown, Williams is active in her community. She earned her Masters in Accounting, Bachelor of Science in Accounting and minor in Mathematics from the University of Connecticut.
