Orlandi Valuta and Vigo, both leaders in the money-transfer industry, today announced that 215 Soriana and Mercado Soriana grocery stores throughout Mexico are now offering consumer money-transfer services.

With this multi-year agreement, consumers can send funds from Vigo and Orlandi Valuta Agent locations in the United States to 215 Soriana and Mercado Soriana locations in Mexico.

Consumers in Mexico then receive their money transfers on loyalty cards issued by Soriana at any Soriana or Mercado Soriana location from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week, 365 days a year. The loyalty cards can be used at all Soriana and Mercado Soriana locations for purchases at the stores or can be exchanged for cash at store registers.

?At Soriana, our focus is on providing exceptional customer service,? said Humberto Fayad, Marketing Director for Soriana. ?We continue to seek products and services to meet the demands of our consumers. They want the convenience and ease of receiving funds from friends and family while they visit Soriana locations, and they want to receive them through the trusted brand names of Vigo and Orlandi Valuta.?

With this agreement, Soriana joins the thousands of other Orlandi Valuta and Vigo Agent locations throughout Mexico, which include banks, pharmacies and grocery stores.

?We continue to expand the Orlandi Valuta and Vigo brands to meet the needs of different consumer segments,? said Liz Alicea-Velez, Executive Vice President, Latin America/Caribbean, Western Union. ?Consumers trust Vigo and Orlandi Valuta to send their family's crucial financial resources because they know the funds will arrive in their destination quickly and reliably every time.
