ARLINGTON, Va., Nov. 21, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Willis Towers Watson (NASDAQ:WLTW), a leading global advisory, broking and solutions company, today announced that Adeola Adele has been named to Business Insurance magazine’s 2016 Women to Watch list. Business Insurance is a leading industry news magazine and website reporting on the commercial insurance and risk management industry.

The 11th annual Women to Watch report recognizes 25 industry professionals who are leading the way in the commercial insurance industry. Honorees are selected based on recent professional achievements, expertise, leadership and contributions to the advancement of women and diversity in business.

Based in New York, Adele is part of Willis Towers Watson’s Financial and Executive Risks (FINEX) practice, serving as both its National Employment Practices Liability (EPL) product leader and cyber thought leader. She is responsible for product innovation, thought leadership, and aligning EPL and cyber resources across Willis Towers Watson’s platform to ensure clients receive the full scope of the company’s risk management expertise.

“We are thrilled to see Adeola recognized for this prestigious award,” said Alexis Faber, FINEX practice leader, Willis Towers Watson. “Adeola has a creative mind and a unique combination of skills that helps us deliver innovative solutions and superior results to clients. Additionally, she is an outstanding leader, team player and role model who supports career advancement for all.”

Adele joined Willis Towers Watson in 2014 and has over 17 years’ experience in the legal and insurance industries. Prior to joining the insurance industry in 2007, Adele was employed at two highly respected law firms, Kaufman, Borgeest & Ryan LLP and Sedgwick LLP, where she represented domestic and global insurers in coverage-related disputes, and defended private companies, nonprofits and municipalities in employment litigation matters.

In 2011, Adele was honored as a Black Achiever in Industry by the Harlem YMCA, and in 2013, she received a Business Insurance Innovation Award for her role in conceptualizing and developing a wage and hour insurance product.

Outside of the office, Adele is committed to important humanitarian causes that improve the lives of women and girls at risk. She serves on the boards of PathFinders Justice Initiative and the Brooklyn Book Festival.

Adele will be profiled in the December issue of Business Insurance and will be recognized at an award luncheon December 13 in New York City.
