In the documentary The Science of Water Sustainability, TechKnow explores three solutions for water scarcity that do not involve waiting for rain: fog-catching nets, intelligent watering and water-efficient washing machines. TechKnow met up with Steve Jenkins, the chief technology officer of Xeros to learn more about polymer cleaning and Xeros' near-waterless laundry system.

Washing machines that use up to 80% less water

Near Waterless Laundry Now Available in Middle East

Xeros recently showcased its polymer cleaning system at the Hotel Show Dubai, the largest, most prestigious hospitality event in the region. Many hotels and media outlets were drawn to the Xeros stand, most of whom were interested in the water savings and sustainability. Most notably, that an average 250 bed hotel in Dubai will save 3.5 million gallons of water each year if it installs four Xeros machines. This equates to a saving of AED 183,456 on water bills every year.
