IWATA, October 1, 2014 - Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. (Tokyo: 7272) announced today that it will exhibit the design concept model 01GEN at INTERMOT Cologne 2014 opening October 1 in the German city of Cologne.
Yamaha Motor, which has positioned design as central to product creation from its founding, established Refined Dynamism as its design philosophy in 2013, and are focusing on developing products that realize the unique Yamaha style.
This philosophy shaped the 01GEN, which is the first in this design concept model series put forward by Yamaha Motor and represents our ongoing commitment to creating products with new values.
The on & off crossover of the concept refers to the multi wheel's command over a variety of terrain - both on-road and off - that is grounded in the maneuverability unique to the format. A distinctive feature is the seamless design that sees the front and back overlap and interlace with no distinction between the two. The shape advocates a new and racy design expression evolving from the harmony of interweaving the mechanical framework with the flowing body line that makes the most of the volume of the double front wheels.
Yamaha Motor plans to exhibit and propose new manifestations of the design concept GEN at every opportunity.
