For years, the Yelp community in DC has been buzzing about the countless amazing local restaurants and hot new businesses found on every street corner. So we decided to move in! Yelp announced that we are headed to Washington, DC to open our next office!
We've been building a vibrant community of locals and business owners in DC for many years, and we can't wait to add our own employees to the mix by bringing 500 new sales and marketing positions to the city over the next five years. The new Yelp office will encompass about 52,000 square-feet in Terrell Place (575 7th Street, NW) next to the Verizon Center and in the heart of Penn Quarter's entertainment district.
One of the reasons we love DC as our next office location is the access to a talented, diverse group of candidates who will be amazing additions to the Yelp family. DC also boasts close proximity to other East Coast locations, top-notch public transportation, and a thriving technology community.
We plan to start construction on the DC office this summer and begin hiring late this year. Keep an eye on yelp.com/careers for job openings if you <3 Yelp and DC.
