The first service promotion roadshow for the Central Asia region of the Mobile Crane Division of Zoomlion Hoisting Machinery Branch Company held recently in Kazakhstan has come to a satisfactory conclusion.
During the event, which lasted 10 days, the service team traveled more than 4,000 km across eastern, northern and southern Kazakhstan. The service team visited nearly 30 crane users across the country's three largest cities, namely the capital Astana, the country's most populous city Almaty, and the desert oil city Kyzylorda. The event was praised by agents, suppliers, secondary outlets and end-users alike.
In 2014, the economies of the five Central Asian country's have grown steadily, and three of the top ten global construction machinery markets by demand are in Central Asia. First among these is Kazakhstan, one of the world's emerging economies. Kazakhstan's rapid economic development in recent years has been well documented in international media. It has rich natural resources within its territory and a relatively strong industrial base. These conditions coupled with its hosting of the 2017 World Expo and the wide-scale exploitation of its southwestern oilfields have greatly boosted demand for cranes.
The aim of the Hoisting Machinery Branch Company's first service promotion roadshow was to maintain existing customers and expand Zoomlion's brand influence. During the event, service engineers from the branch company's agent visited Zoomlion crane users to examine and repair products. They also trained machine operators in the areas of safety operations, routine maintenance, simple repairs, oil maintenance and spare parts purchasing. Service engineers also answered questions users had on the use and maintenance of the load moment limiter. Western and southern Kazakhstan has a harsh climate characterized by dry and dusty conditions as well as extremes of temperature from season to season. This, together with the poor quality of domestic diesel fuel, poses difficulties for the operation and maintenance of products. To counteract this, Zoomlion Hoisting Machinery Branch Company teamed up with a service team from Weichai Power to provide customers with specialist engine training and resolve issues related to seasonal engine maintenance and repairs. During the training, the team presented new vehicle users with a set of engine oil and diesel filters and talked to them about the importance of engine maintenance, while also promoting various supporting oil products for Zoomlion cranes.
The entire promotion was well received by agents and product users, and facilitated close contact between manufacturers, agents and users. As a result, many customers called for the roadshow to become an annual event. The event effectively enhanced the local influence and visibility of the Zoomlion brand and laid a solid foundation for marketing and sales events in 2015.
