From 1998 to 2000 he was Vice President and European Equities Economist and from 1994 to 1998 he was Vice President and International Economist for Smith Barney Inc. based in Paris.
Prior to that, he spent four years with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development as the Principal Economist in the Economic Prospects Division.
