Besa Deda

Ms. Besa Deda is a Chief Economist at Westpac Banking Corp.
She was appointed to this role in early 2008.
She is the Bank’s economic spokesperson and is responsible for all of the Bank’s economic and capital markets research.
This includes forecasts for the economic outlook, interest rates and currencies.
Prior to joining St. George, a Division of Westpac Banking Corporation, Ms. Deda was a Senior Strategist and Economist with the Commonwealth Bank.
She was with the CBA for 7 and a half years and before that was an Economist with the Colonial Group.
She holds an honours degree in Economics from the University of Sydney.
