He joined Lazard in 1997 as a distressed debt research analyst and became the Head Trader of the group in 1999 where his responsibilities included trading distressed bank debt and bonds as well as identifying investment opportunities in the distressed debt markets.
Prior to this, he worked for AT&T in its DirecTV and International Consumer Long Distance divisions.
Mr. Santana graduated from Amherst College with a B.A.
in Economics and Spanish.
