Daiva Bajorunas, M.D.
joined Kos Pharmaceuticals in April 2004, as Vice President, Product Realization, leveraging her nearly 20 years of medical experience and 12 years industry experience.
Dr. Bajorunas has worked in global positions at Aventis Pharmaceuticals, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and Rhone-Polenc Rorer.
Daiva was most recently with Aventis Pharmaceuticals as the Global Project Team Leader for Lantus, now the most prescribed insulin in the U.S., where she was responsible for the global clinical development program, registration, and technology transfer for manufacturing scale-up, device development and life-cycle management.
She brings U.S.
and Worldwide clinical trial expertise from phase I-IV, experience in life-cycle management strategies, and broad operational experiences.
Prior to joining the pharmaceutical industry, Daiva was an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at Cornell University Medical College and an Associate Member of the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, both in New York City.
Dr. Bajorunas received her medical degree from University of Michigan Medical School, and her medical training at St. Vincent's Hospital and Medical Center, New York, NY.
She completed her fellowship in Endocrinology and Metabolism at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, NY, NY and at Stanford University Medical Center, Stanford, California, and is board certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology and Metabolism.
