Edwin R. Addison

Mr. Addison was most recently chairman of Hoovers Media Technologies, a subsidiary of Hoovers ("HOOV") that serves the enterprise market.
In 1997, Mr. Addison founded and served as CEO of Powerize.com.
In 1998, Powerize, Inc. acquired IBM infoMarket and Lotus newsstand from IBM and developed a business information portal.
In 2000, Mr. Addison merged Powerize with Hoovers.
In 1990, Mr. Addison founded ConQuest Software where he was CEO.
In 1994, Mr. Addison was awarded "Entrepreneur of the Year" by the Information Industry Association.
His company also earned the distinctive "Product of the Year" award from Washington Technology for exceptional search engine accuracy and scalability.
ConQuest was sold to Excalibur Technologies Corporation in July 1995.
Mr. Addison served two years as executive vice president and as a Director of Excalibur.
Prior to 1990, Mr. Addison was employed by management consulting firm Booz Allen & Hamilton for two years and by Westinghouse Electric Corporation in various technical, marketing and management positions for ten years.
He graduated from Virginia Tech in 1978 with a BS in Electrical Engineering and from Johns Hopkins University in 1980 with an MS in Engineering.
Mr. Addison taught graduate courses in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering as an Adjunct Professor at Johns Hopkins University on a part time basis for seven years.
Mr. Addison has done additional graduate studies in biomedical engineering and in business.
