Nelson is currently the Chairman-Taxation Committee at Edison Electric Institute, Inc. He is also the Secretary, Senior Vice President & General Counsel at Ameren Services Co. Gregory is a Member of The District of Columbia Bar, Missouri Bar Association, and Tennessee Bar Association.
In his former positions, Mr. Nelson served as a Director at Union Electric Co. He was also the Secretary, Director, SVP & General Counsel at Illinois Power Generating Co. from 2012 to 2014.
Gregory held the position of Vice President at CILCORP, Inc. He was the Senior Vice President & General Counsel at Ameren Corp.
from 2011 to 2019.
Prior to that, Gregory worked as an Attorney at the US Department of Justice from 1984 to 1988 and as an Assistant Attorney at the State of Tennessee from 1982 to 1984.
He was also the President-St Louis Chapter at Tax Executives Institute, Inc. Gregory served as the Senior Vice President & General Counsel at CILCO and Union Electric Co. (Old).
He briefly held the position of Senior Vice President & General Counsel at Ameren Illinois Co. in 2011.
Mr. Nelson completed his undergraduate and graduate degrees at Vanderbilt University.
He also obtained a graduate degree from Georgetown University.
