Dr. Jacques Cailloux is Chief European Economist at Nomura International Plc.
He was previously employed as Chief European Economist by Royal Bank of Scotland Plc.

He moved to Sorbonne University in Paris in September 1997 and was a Lecturer for International Finance and Economics until September 1998.
From December 1996 to September 1997, he worked at the Institute of Development Studies, Brighton as a Lecturer for Emerging Markets.
He lectured development economics theories to postgraduate students.
He started his career at Expansion Magazine in Paris as a Financial Analyst.
Dr. Cailloux obtained a Master of International Finance and Economics (Honours) degree in June 1994, a Master of Philosophy (1st class Honours) degree in Industrial Organisation in September 1995, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree (Highest Distinction) in International Economics in February 1999 from Sorbonne University in Paris, France.
He is fluent in English and can speak basic German and Spanish.
In addition, he can speak advanced Portuguese.
