Earlier in his career, Mr. Howland held a number of senior line positions at American Express, including serving as President of their International Merchant Services business based out of London.
Prior to joining American Express, Mr. Howland held a senior role with McKinsey & Company in their Financial Services practice.
Mr. Howland holds a B.A., magna cum laude, from Bucknell University and an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
