Perlioni, CFA MBA, is a Vice President of Investments & Chief Investment Officer at The Johns Hopkins University.
He became the second Vice President of Investments and Chief Investment Officer for Johns Hopkins University in June, 2017.
In this role, he oversees all aspects of the investment program for over $6 billion of endowment and other investment assets for the University and affiliated organizations.
The Chief Investment Officer is accountable to the University’s Board of Trustees and the Senior Vice President for Finance and Administration, with primary responsibility of articulating and executing the investment strategy as leader of the Office of Investment Management.
Central to this role is the investment of the University’s endowment portfolio, with the long-term goal of achieving strong compounded returns that increase the University’s ability to achieve its stated mission over long time horizons.
Before coming to Johns Hopkins University, Mr. Perlioni held the similar role of Chief Investment Officer at Pritzker Group Asset Management, and was a member of the senior leadership team at Pritzker Group since joining in 2007 to build the asset management platform.
He spent several years prior to that as a Director and Portfolio Manager at UBS Global Asset Management.
He began his investment career at the Northwestern University endowment office managing hedge funds, distressed debt portfolios, and helping manage overall asset allocation and risk management.
Prior to that, he was a management consultant for Price Waterhouse and Arthur D.
Little.
He holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a BS in Chemical Engineering from Rice University, and the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
