Lance Toler

Lance Toler is a Managing Director on Gallatin’s Equity Strategies team and is on the investment committee.
Prior to joining Gallatin, Mr. Toler was a Principal at Apollo Global Management and an Associate at The Blackstone Group.
At Apollo and Blackstone, Mr. Toler focused on sourcing, analyzing, executing, and managing investments in financial services businesses and portfolios of financial assets for Apollo’s European Principal Finance funds and Blackstone’s private equity funds.
Prior to Blackstone, Mr. Toler was a founding member of the asset management team of the U.S.
Treasury Department’s Capital Purchase Program of the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP).
At the U.S.
Treasury, he helped to manage a $200+ billion portfolio of financial securities in 700+ U.S.
banks on behalf of the U.S.
taxpayer.
Mr. Toler started his career in the Financial Institutions Group and Public Sector & Infrastructure Group in the investment banking division of Goldman Sachs.
He earned an MBA with high distinction from Harvard Business School, where he graduated as a George F.
Baker Scholar, and a BA in Economics, magna cum laude, from Brigham Young University.
He is a board member of Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation and a board observer of Varo Bank and Fortuna Holdings Ltd.
