In addition to his role at Aleutian Capital, Mr. Farley has over eight years of business ownership experience.
Beginning his career as a mechanical engineer at Silicon Valley Graphics (semi-conductor industry), he then started up two companies in Chicago: New Solutions, Inc., which developed high-performance chemicals for the construction industry, and Right-On Applications, Inc. Right-On Applications provided application services of industrial chemicals to contractors and developers and was a separate arm of New Solutions.
Out of business school, he was a brand manager with Reckitt Benckiser and worked for three years under the brands of Frank’s Red Hot, French’s Mustard and Woolite.
Prior to joining Aleutian Capital, he was President and CEO of Steam Way International, which he purchased after a year of running the business and then sold at the end of 2008.
Mr. Farley earned a BS in mechanical engineering from the University of Rochester and returned to The University of Rochester to attend The William E.
Simon School of Business and Administration where he completed his MBA with a concentration in marketing and organizational strategy.
