Nils Taube began his working life with stockbrokers Kitcat & Aitken, rising to senior partner in 1975.
In 1969 he started the unit trust known today as SJP Greater European Progressive Trust.
In 1982 Lord Rothschild, bought 30 percent of Kitcat & Aitken and Nils became the manager of the direct investments of the J.
Rothschild group of businesses including RIT Capital Partners, the Investment Trust.
This association continued until 1996 when he and his colleagues, John Hodson and Cato Stonex, established Taube Hodson Stonex Partners Limited (THS).
He is now running Nils Taube Investments Ltd.
