Randy Abernethy has been working in financial technology for over 25 years.

The CTO of the broker dealer UNX, Randy architected and operated a multimarket program trading platform, transacting several billion in USD per week, holding securities principal licenses for general, futures, options and financial/operations.
He has received patent protection for a number of innovations in financial services and is currently a managing partner at RX-M, an independent software development and training firm, focused on low latency trading engines and large-scale machine learning and simulation systems.
Randy is an author and Apache Software Foundation committer with a new book on Apache Thrift due this Fall from Manning Publications.
