Mr. O'Brien began his career with the Northern Trust Company in 1973, where he rose to Vice President managing equity investments in the Employee Benefit Funds Division.
In 1981, he joined Oppenheimer Management Company where he was responsible for the investment management of two mutual funds and Centennial Asset Management Company, a $6 billion wholly owned subsidiary.
In 1983, he joined Institutional Capital Corporation as Senior Portfolio Manager.
In 1986, Mr. O'Brien founded Tecumseh Asset Management, Inc. to manage investment partnerships with an objective of generating absolute investment returns for institutions and high net worth individuals.
Mr. O'Brien received his B.A.
from the University of Iowa in 1969 and M.B.A.
from the University of Chicago in 1973.
He has also been President of the Chicago Options Society and Treasurer of the National Options Society.
