AfriAg Global Plc, formerly AfriAg Plc, is an investment company. The principal activity of the Company is that of investing by seeking to acquire a direct and/or indirect interest in projects and assets in the agriculture and logistics sectors. The Company focuses on opportunities in Europe, Africa and the Middle East but will consider possible opportunities anywhere in the world. It holds interest in AfriAg SA (Pty) Ltd (AfriAg SA), which operates a combined fleet of approximately 58 trucks with over 52 trucks leased. Its subsidiaries include AfriAg Limited and Afriag Holdings (Pty) Limited, which are holding companies, and Afriag Marketing (Pty) Limited, which is a marketing company that owns a fleet of approximately six diesel Mercedes trucks and refrigerated over 15.2 meter trailers painted in AfriAg colours. It transports fresh produce from Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi and Mozambique to Johannesburg for domestic distribution there and for airfreight and sea freight to global markets.
