3I GROUP PLC (Alliance News) - Princess Private Equity Holding Ltd on Monday said Peter McKellar will join the company as non-executive chair from November 23.
The investor, which backs private companies, said that McKellar has "extensive experience in the asset management, investment company and private equity sectors."
He is currently a non-executive director of 3i Group PLC, the deputy chair of AssetCo PLC, and the vice chair of Investcorp Europe Acquisition Corp 1.
He was formerly global head of Private Markets at Standard Life Aberdeen PLC, before which he led Standard Life Investments' private equity and infrastructure business and was its chief investment officer.
Interim Chair Fionnuala Carvill said: "We are very pleased that this independent process has culminated in Peter McKellar, who is eminently suited to the role, agreeing to be appointed as chair next month. The board records its appreciation for the support of major shareholders during this comprehensive process."
Carvill has been interim chair since the company's annual general meeting in June. He replaced Richard Battey, who had served as chair since August 2018.
