Alcomet : Representatives from Innovation Norway under the "Business Development, Innovation and SMEs" program visited "Alcomet"

The meeting was attended by representatives of Innovation Norway from Oslo, Bulgaria and the Embassy of the Kingdom of Norway in Romania, who were welcomed by the executive member of the company's Board of Directors, Huseyin Yorucu, Mehmet Dedeoglu, Director of the Investments Department, Petya Georgieva, Expert of the Investments Department and Ayshe Muzaferova, PR Manager.

The visit was in connection with the implementation of the ALUGREEN (Greener anodizing for cleaner nature) project with the financial support of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021, within the framework of the "Business Development, Innovations and SMEs in Bulgaria" program, which was launched in "Alcomet" on July 15, 2021

The meeting started with a presentation of the ALUGREEN project, paying attention to the effect that will be achieved after its implementation, both in terms of the environment and the competitiveness of the company. After the presentation, the representatives from Innovation Norway went to the production workshops of "Alcomet" and examined the investments made so far.

The main goal of the ALUGREEN (Greener anodizing for cleaner nature) project is to increase the company's competitiveness through the implementation of innovative green processes in the newly built anodizing workshop. The introduction of innovative technical solutions to the main anodizing line and its adjacent wastewater treatment plant will contribute to optimizing production and strengthening the market position of Alcomet AD. The positive effect on the environment is expected to be a consequence of the reduction of waste, water and energy savings, as well as the reduction of CO2 emissions thanks to the optimized consumption of chemicals in the production process.

The value of the entire project, after changes in terms of values and assets, is 1,548,985 euros, with the amount of the grant of 552,000 euros representing 35.63% of the eligible costs. The implementation of the project is expected to end in September 2023.
