Hsinchu, Taiwan, July 28, 2023 -- Alpha Networks Inc. (TWSE: 3380) today announced its consolidated financial results for the second quarter of 2023.
The consolidated revenue for 2Q23 was NT$7,745 million, down 1.6% and gross profit decreased 2.7% to NT$1,362 million from last quarter. The decline was mainly from the decrease of LAN/MAN products. Operating expenses were NT$1,082 million or 14% of net sales. Operating income was NT$280 million, or 3.6% of net sales. Net income was NT$278 million. Net income attributable to shareholders of the parent company was NT$239 million, or NT$0.44 per share. 2Q23's revenue by product categories: Wireless Broadband accounted for 46% of 2Q22 consolidated revenue, followed by LAN/MAN at 45%, Digital Multimedia at 3%, and Others 6%.
The consolidated revenue for the first half of 2023 was NT$15,615 million, up 3% on a year-over-year basis. Gross profit decreased 4.4% to NT$2,762 million from the prior year. Operating expenses were NT$2,169 million or 13.9% of net sales, down 0.5 points from last year. Operating income was NT$593 million, or 3.8% of net sales. Net income was NT$465 million. Net income attributable to shareholders of the parent company was NT$413 million, or NT$0.76 per share. 1H23's revenue by product categories: Wireless Broadband accounted for 45% of 1H23 consolidated revenue, followed by LAN/MAN at 47%, Digital Multimedia at 3%, and Others 5%.
